As the season of luck nears, so does the need for a spread that'll bring a bit of cheer and a lot of flavor to your St. Patrick's Day celebrations. If you're looking for a festive charcuterie board filled with artisan Maytag Cheeses and perfectly paired accompaniments, it's your lucky day! Strike gold with our tips on building a curated cheese board your guests will love.

What do I Need to Make a Festive Charcuterie Board?
To create this year's St. Patrick's Day charcuterie board, simply add your favorite greens, golds, and Blues, and with a bit of luck, you have a perfectly cheesy grazing board.
First, you'll need a surface to assemble your charcuterie on. A cutting board, serving tray, or even parchment paper on the counter will work as your base. We chose a large, rounded wood board with a handle for easy serving. The darker wood also provides a balanced contrast to the lighter-colored ingredients.
We recommend 3-5 types of cheeses on your grazing board. Explore our wide assortment of curated artisan cheese, all featuring a variety of flavors for every cheese lover! Complement your selections with cured meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, and both sweet & savory accompaniments. Choosing vibrant produce like olives, cucumbers, or green grapes gives your board a pop of color, while additions such as crackers or pretzels act as a vehicle for cheeses and add texture.

How Do I Assemble My Charcuterie Board?
Start by cutting your cheese into the shapes of your choice. Aged cheeses like 7-Year Aged Cheddar often look best when broken into bite-sized chunks or crumbles. Semi-soft cheeses, such as Pepper Jack, are more versatile and can be cut into cubes, slices, or triangles. For softer cheeses like Maytag Blue Cheese, use a cheese wire or thin-bladed knife to cut wedges or break into small crumbles. Spreads present well when served in the original container, placed in a small bowl, or spread on accompaniments, such as fresh veggies.
Choose a serving board to assemble your charcuterie board on. First, add the Sharp Cheddar Cheese Spread, which creates a base for the rest of your products. Evenly distribute the Maytag Blue, 7-Year Aged Cheddar, Baby Swiss, Aged Gouda, and Pepper Jack around the rest of the board.
Next, add the Prosciutto Americano. For this cured meat, you can choose a variety of styling options, like rolling, folding into quarters, or shaping into ribbons. Ensure there is enough meat to enjoy alongside all the cheese.
Place your crackers around the meat and cheese. We used whole-grain wheat crackers and Sardinian Flatbreads to provide a solid foundation for soft cheeses and sliced meats, as well as a contrasting texture.
Finally, fill in the remaining gaps with your accompaniments. This spread features a variety of produce, including green grapes, baby pickles, and Castelvetrano olives that add bold flavor and festive color. Feel free to add other items that complement your cheese selection, whether that be nuts, fruit jam, or a savory spread.
Garnish your board with fresh herbs for extra color, as well as any serving utensils. For a delicate yet fragrant addition, we added thyme, but rosemary, sage, and basil are other excellent options.
