Baked Maytag Blue

This creamy, rich Baked Maytag Blue is the perfect appetizer for any gathering!

 

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Maytag Blue Cheese Wedge
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp fresh herbs, such as rosemary and thyme
  • Maytag Honey (optional)

 

Directions

Preheat your oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. 

Add flour to a shallow bowl. Add egg to a separate bowl and beat until smooth. In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs and herbs. 

Gently cover the Maytag Blue Cheese wedge in flour, then dig in the egg. Coat the wedge with breadcrumbs until thoroughly and evenly coated. 

Place the wedge on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the coating is crisp and golden.

Once baked, transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Finish with a drizzle of Maytag Honey for a touch of sweetness.
