Ingredients
- 1 lb. elbow macaroni
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
- 8 oz. Matag 1-Year Aged Cheddar, shredded
- 4 oz. Maytag Blue Cheese Crumbles
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh herbs for garnish
Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F. Cook the pasta in boiling water until al dente. Drain pasta and set aside.
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk continuously for 2 minutes to form a roux. Pour in milk and cook until the mixture has thickened.
Reduce heat to low and add in Maytag 1-Year Aged Cheddar and half of the Maytag Blue Cheese Crumbles, reserving the rest for topping. Cook until the cheese is melted.
Add the cooked pasta into the sauce and stir to coat. Pour the mixture into a large baking dish and top with the remaining Maytag Blue Cheese Crumbles. Bake for 20-2 minutes or until bubbly and golden around the edges. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
